Design of a Blue LED Array for Curing Fiberglass-Reinforced Composite

A custom LED array was fabricated using 28 LED assemblies each containing seven 470 nm chips. The array’s design and construction are discussed. The array’s light intensity and uniformity at different distances is reviewed.  The array was designed to photocure 1.27 cm thick impact-resistant panels.
